Disable HA when upgrading vCenter (vCenter Server Appliance)/ESXi hosts

Hi there,

Can somebody confirm HA has to be disabled during an upgrade of vCenter & ESXi hosts (at cluster level, uncheck "Turn on vSphere HA")?  Looking to upgrade from 5.5 to 6.5U1
