The vxRAIL is a different approach and i call it "the survivor of the EvoRAIL disaster".
Your vSAN ReadyNode is a certified HW Bundle and you have to put on
- All licensing
- Deployment is putting all pieces together and install Software hand by hand
- Management/FW Update/Uprade Tasks
- (Some kind of easy scale)
vxRAIL
- Complete/Partitial lics included
- Deploeyment 15min (on paper and when the networking guy doesnt have made a mistake)
- One Update package of ESX/DRIVER/FW
- Other nodes need 9min for joining/setup
If you would like to stay at DellEMC you can also take a look to DellEMC XC (Nutanix).
The typical ReadyNode is a 1 or 2U 19" Rack Server in different T-Shirt sizes. I think the Naming scheme is the same for all other Vendors as well.

Inconveniente en Cluster HA vCenter 5.5
Presento un inconveniente en mi infra vmware, Espero me puedan ayudar .
Cuento con un cluster de 3 hosts con vsphere HA y admission control habilitado, hace aproximadamente 1 mes me ocurre que uno de los hosts no responde (hasta ahora fue una vez cada uno). el equipo no se alerta dentro de vcenter los servidores virtualizados son inaccesibles y esto ocasiona problemas en el funcionamiento de varios sistemas, el vcenter no mueve los servidores a los otros 2 hosts. Cuando apago el equipo es donde el vcenter detecta la caída del host y levanta las vm’s en los otros.
Esto hasta ahora ocurrió 1 vez en cada hosts,. Espero me puedan ayudar.
Anexo las capture de como tengo configurado el cluster.

VM resolution increase
After following kb.vmware.com/s/article/1003, I was unable to get the right resolution.
I wanted to achieve 7680 * 4320 * 4 = 132710400
I adjusted the following:
svga.vramSize = 132775936
svga.maxWidth = 7680
svga.maxHeight = 4320
svga.numDisplays = "3"
Increased video mem to 128MB.
Our Virtual Hardware Version 11
Windows 7 guest VMs.
But it didn't work, the maximum resolution I'm getting is 3840 x 2400.
Any suggestion to what else I should edit, it'll be greatly appreciated.

У меня у всех ядер показывает 119, при каких либо нагрузках.
Я оставил одну ВМ на этом хосте и дал ей 1 ядро, после чего, загрузил , в перфоманс мониторе показывало 3088 в пике герц, а буст должен до 3.5 подниматься. Куда делись еще 400герц?

Is there a way to convert OVFTool command --prop: guestinfo.cis.appliance.* options in vsphere automation sdk?
I am trying to convert an ovftool command for deploying an OVA file. Now, I am trying to leverage vsphere automation sdk to deploy the OVA. How can I convert my --prop: guestinfo.cis.appliance.* options from ovftool command into Deployment via sdk?
Do I use ResourcePoolDeploymentSpec.setAdditionalParameter? If so, do I use OvfParams as constructs for the collection for the additional parameters? Does anyone have any example?

Vmware 14 workstation, How to increase disk size of the virtual Ubuntu 18.04 server?
Hello,
I am running an Ubuntu 18.04 VM. I had alloted 20gb as the disk size initially. Then I increased the size through settings to 30 GB. But this isnt reflected in the VM , which still shows 20 GB.
So how do I effectively change the disk size without losing any data?

Merge Linked Clones
Guys, running ESXi 6.5 and 6.0. I need to spin up around 20 Windows 2012 R2 machines to simulate a prod environment. Since I only need these for 4 weeks 20 full fat VMs seems like a waste of space on my DataStore. Also, I have some fats tiers with limited space so looking at creating a single VM and creating linked clones off it with the API (python or powercli).Just wondering though, is it possible to split a clone off from it's parent i.e. merge a clone with the base so its now a fully fledged independent VM again ?
